Kettle Corn
As a boy growing up on a farm in the heart of America, one of my favorite memories is harvest time. After a long hard day of work, Grandma would pop corn out back in the cook shed in the big iron kettle that was used to render lard. It had her extra special touch, big crisp kernels lightly sweetened and delicately salted. Wholesome and nutritious, the delicately sweet kernels practically melt in your mouth! She called it “Kettle Corn”- and so do we. Once in a while you can find kettle corn at the county fair or a community festival. Now you can enjoy old-fashioned goodness any time of the year. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
